Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about synthetic consumer research, credit pricing, report accuracy, and how will.it.sell works.

Getting Started

will.it.sell is an AI-powered synthetic consumer research tool. Describe your product idea, define your target audience, and get a purchase intent report in minutes. The methodology is peer-reviewed and validated against 9,300 human responses across 57 consumer surveys.
Language models conditioned on real demographic profiles (age, income, interests) evaluate your product concept. Each synthetic consumer responds independently, producing purchase intent scores and qualitative feedback. Learn more about the science behind FLR.
A purchase intent score (1-5), score distribution across consumers, and qualitative feedback covering positives, concerns, and suggestions. Full feedback is available with the Starter pack, and individual consumer responses with the Growth pack. See a sample report.
Under 5 minutes from product description to results.
No. will.it.sell evaluates product concepts before they are built. Describe your idea, features, and pricing - the system tests purchase intent for products that do not exist yet.

Methodology & Accuracy

The FLR methodology achieves 90% of human test-retest reliability, validated across 57 consumer surveys with 9,300 real human responses. Best used as a screening tool before deeper traditional research.
A peer-reviewed technique that scores purchase intent by evaluating synthetic consumer responses across six dimensions - buying likelihood, interest, appeal, consideration, perceived value, and choice preference. Each dimension uses calibrated reference statements as anchors, capturing nuanced intent signals rather than relying on simple keyword matching or single-scale ratings. Read the full methodology breakdown.
No. will.it.sell conditions each synthetic consumer on specific demographic and psychographic profiles. A 28-year-old urban professional responds differently than a 55-year-old suburban retiree. Simple chatbot responses lack this demographic conditioning and statistical validation.
Any B2C product or service - physical goods, subscriptions, digital products, food and beverage, consumer electronics, fashion, pet products, home goods. The methodology is validated across all consumer-facing categories. Not suited for B2B products.
Synthetic consumers cannot replicate brand loyalty to specific existing brands, sensory experiences (taste, texture), or highly local cultural nuances. Results are directional - use them to screen concepts, not as final go/no-go decisions on their own.

Pricing & Credits

You get free credits on signup (100 consumers). After that, credit packs start at $9.90 for 200 credits. 1 credit = 1 synthetic consumer in your report. See all pricing.
Free: score, distribution, preview of feedback, 3 targeting dimensions. Starter: full qualitative feedback, all 18 targeting dimensions. Growth: individual consumer responses with filtering. See full pricing details.
No. Credits never expire. Buy them when you need them, use them whenever you want.
If a report fails to generate due to a system error, credits are automatically refunded. We do not offer refunds for completed reports since the AI computation is consumed at generation time.
No. will.it.sell uses pay-as-you-go credit packs. No monthly fees, no annual contracts. Buy credits when you need them.
